A 12-year-old Caledon girl was killed Sunday after the ATV she was riding rolled on top of her in cottage country.
OPP Provincial Const. Louise Maki says the girl was riding on a seasonal road known for ATV and snowmobile use in the area of Fisher Creek Road near Selina Drive south of the village of Sprucedale when the accident happened at 11:15 a.m.
Jessica Coupland, 12, of Caledon, was taken to hospital by Muskoka Emergency Medical Services (EMS) where she was pronounced deceased.

On June 14, 2015, 9-year-old Tyler Massey died in an ATV accident. The full-sized ATV he was riding crashed into the bushes, and rolled over on top him. His mother, Linda Russell, started the Tyler Massey Memorial Fund to educate parents and children on the dangers of riding ATVs too big for children, and raise awareness of the "Tyler Massey Law."

On June 14, Linda Russell learned that her son Tyler Massey, 9, had been killed when the ATV he was riding rolled over.
